New Zealand national scenic passenger bus rail map

A Scenic Essential Pass allows you to travel on New Zealand's three long distance passenger train services between Auckland and Wellington, Christchurch and Greymouth, a day's ferry/train travel between Wellington and Christchurch, bus and coach travel between Christchurch, Mt Cook, Queenstown, Franz Josef and Greymouth plus return coach travel between Queenstown and Milford Sound.

Scenic Essential Pass includes -

*  2 train 'Travel' Days
*  35 travel 'Hours' of bus and coach travel
*  1 ferry/train 'Travel' day between Wellington/Christchurch or Christchurch/Wellington

Scenic Essential Pass can be used to travel north to south or south to north.

Scenic Essential Pass is ideal for 1 to 4 weeks stay in New Zealand.

Scenic Essential Pass is suited for the independent traveler, families or small groups, who are traveling together on the same routes, to the same destinations.

The Scenic Essential Pass does not include any accommodation, entrance fees, meals or Milford Sound boat cruise which are additional.

This pass can be used for travel from
27 September 2013 to 4 May 2014 and from 26 September 2014 to 3 May 2015, as train/ferry services between Wellington/Christchurch and Christchurch/Wellington will not be operating from 5 May 2014 to 25 September 2014.

Scenic Travel Pass includes -

*  3 train 'Travel' Days
*  60 travel 'Hours' of bus, coach, ferry travel and selected sightseeing options
*  Cook Strait ferry sailings between the North and South Islands

If you run out of bus/coach travel travel 'Hours', you can top up your coach travel pass with additional travel 'Hours' which are available in 3 or 10 'Hour' lots.

Scenic Travel Pass is ideal for 1 week to 8 weeks stay in New Zealand.

Scenic Travel Pass is suited for the independent traveler, families or small groups, who are traveling together on the same routes, to the same destinations.
